Good question! Simply put, I design and enhance digital experiences for your users and customers. For example, maybe your site's analytics indicate that potential leads are leaving the page when completing your online form. Or perhaps your site takes too long to load. Maybe it no longer adheres to WCAG standards. I'll work with you to help address issues like these.
Before COVID, I worked in healthcare. My passion has always been to help people, and I've always been good with technology. With lockdowns in place, it meant that I had loaaads of free time. So, I decided to combine my passion and skills, and venture into unknown territory. I learned the fundamentals of visual design, taught myself HTML/CSS and with time, I became more comfortable with frontend development and designing user experiences.
Every project is different, but I'm open to all work arrangements. In my opinion, freelance is most appropriate if you'd need me 'ad-hoc'. Contract work is reasonable for individual projects on an hourly or full-time schedule. Full-time employment works best for consistent, ongoing, and/or agency roles.
I love working on meaningful initiatives in small teams. I especially enjoy efficiency and rapid sprints, using customer and stakeholder feedback to iterate designs and get the product 'out there' early.
Meditations, written by Marcus Aurelius almost 2,000 years ago. With no intention of ever being published, it provides a timeless collection of genuine spiritual reflections by one of the most powerful men in history. Marcus Aurelius is considered to be the last of the "Five Good Emperors", and ruled during a time of war, plague and famine.
